Cast of ‘Serendipity’s Embrace’
The lead actors are Kim So-hyun, Chae Jong-hyeop, Yoon Ji-on and Kim Da-som. Kim So-hyun portrays the character Lee Hong-joo, an animation producer, and Chae Jong-hyeop as Kang Hoo-yeong, a savvy financial planner from the States.
Who is Kim So-hyun?
Kim So-hyun is an Australian-born South Korean actress known for her versatility and role in historical dramas. She began her childhood career in 2006 and is popular for her roles in ‘Moon Embracing the Sun’ (2012) and ‘Missing You’ (2013). She was the regular host of MBC’s music programs ‘Music Core’ and ‘Under Nineteen’ in 2019.
As an established top Hallyu star, she was the youngest nominee for the Baeksang Arts Award for ‘Best Actress’ for her performance in ‘River Where the Moon Rises’. The Korean media deems her as the next generation of Nation’s First Love for her performance in ‘Pure Love’ (2016).
Acclaimed for her acting in period dramas, the Korean media nicknamed her the ‘Nation’s Little Sister’, ‘Queen of Child Actresses’, ‘Goddess of Historical Drama’ and also the ‘Sageuk Goddess’.

Her first lead role was in the teen drama ‘Ma Boy’ (2012) and her first movie lead was in ‘Pure Love’ (2016). Chae Jong-hyeop is a rising star in the South Korean Entertainment industry. He was ranked among the Top 10 Korean Actors that Movie Writers Recommended in 2024 by Moviewalker Press.
