Lee Min-ho’s Comeback Drama ‘When the Stars Gossip’ Will Be Released in the Beginning of 2025
‘When the Stars Gossip’ will be released on 4 January 2025, showcasing the story of a group of people who are visiting the space.
The sci-fi romantic comedy drama ‘When the Stars Gossip’ is a hot topic among K-drama fans due to its stellar cast and gripping storyline. On top of that, Lee Min-ho is appearing in the lead role in the drama opposite Gong Hyo-jin.

The drama is the second collaboration of the director Park Shin-woo, scriptwriter Seo Sook-hyang, and actress Gong Hyo-jin after the 2016 office romance comedy drama ‘Don’t Dare to Dream’.
Lee Min-ho in the drama appears as Gong Ryong. He is an obstetrician and the future son-in-law of one of the richest men in Korea, the owner of the conglomerate, MZ Group. He makes a visit to the space on a vacation and becomes the part of a secret mission.
Gong Hyo-jin appears opposite Lee Min-ho as Commander Eve Kim, a bold and strong Korean-American astronaut. She is on her first mission as a commander at the space station. As a law-abiding perfectionist, she cannot allow any mistake to happen during her duty at the space station.
The supporting cast of ‘When the Stars Gossip’ includes Oh Jung-se as Kang Kang-su, who works as a fruit fly research scientist. Being hailed from a prestigious family that owns a global finance company, he used to live a carefree and comfortable life until he made his decision to continue his experiments in space.
Han Ji-eun plays the role of Choi Go-eun, the beautiful and talented daughter of the MZ Group Chairman. She is the only heiress to the company and the fiancee of Gong Ryong. The actor Kim Joo-hun is expected to be seen as the veteran astronaut Park Dong-ah. He is a member of Seoul’s Ground Control Center (MCC).
In addition, Lee EI plays the role of Chief Kang, the leader of Seoul’s MCC, which connects the Earth and space. Heo Nam-joon will appear as Lee Seung-joon, a scientist who researches about dementia in mice. Furthermore, Lee Cho-hee will handle the roles of the twin sisters, Mina Lee and Dona Lee.
When and Where to Watch When the Stars Gossip
Finally, it is official that the drama ‘When the Stars Gossip’ starts streaming on 4 January 2025. It will take over the time slot of ‘Love Your Enemy’ on Saturday and Sunday at 21:20 (KST) on tvN. Also, the show will be available on Netflix.
The show will have 16 episodes, and the final episode is expected to stream on 23 February 2025.
On 18 November 2021, came the news of Lee Mi-ho and Gong Hyo-jin’s ongoing discussions about starring in the upcoming drama with the casting team. Later, on 26 January 2022, it was informed that Oh Jung-se was also invited to play a crucial role and its further negotiations.
The principal photography of the television series began in April 2022, soon after officially announcing Lee Min-ho and Gong Hyo-jin as the lead cast on 28 March 2022.
