Biography of Jung Hae-in
Jung Hae-in is a South Korean actor managed by FNC Entertainment who has gained recognition for his lead role in the 2017 television series, ‘While You Were Sleeping’, ‘Heung-boo: The Revolutionist’, ‘One Spring Night‘ and for his supporting role in ‘Prison Playbook’.
Early Life and Education
Jung Hae-in was born on 1 April 1988 in Seoul, South Korea. His mother Kang Yumi is a pathologist and his father Jung Sangjin is an ophthalmologist. He spent his childhood with his younger brother Jung Haejoon, who is an engineer. He is the sixth descendant of one of the greatest thinkers in the later Joseon period, Dasan Jeong Yak-yong. Hae-in graduated from Pyeongtaek University’s Broadcasting Entertainment Department. While studying there, he had the opportunity to participate in several activities, including musical plays.
Career
Jung Hae-in decided to become an actor when he was in the military. His great determination to be an actor made him lose around 12 kilograms. He made his acting debut in 2014, at the age of twenty-six in a television series, ‘Bride of the Century’, as Choi Kang-in, an idol singer, starring Lee Hong-gi and Yang Jin-sung. He appeared in the 2014 South Korean film, ‘The Youth’, in a lead role alongside Lee Dong-hae and Son Ji-hyun. He also played a lead role in the television series, ‘The Three Musketeers’ co-starring  Jung Yong-hwa, Lee Jin-wook, Yang Dong-geun and Seo Hyun-jin.
In 2015, he was cast in a South Korean television series, ‘Blood’, starring Ahn Jae-hyun, Ji Jin-hee, Koo Hye-sun, and Son Soo-hyun in lead roles. He played the role of a medical researcher. He made a special appearance as Ho-young in the South Korean television series, ‘Reply 1988’  starring Park Bo-gum, Lee Hye-ri, Go Kyung-pyo, Ryu Jun-yeol, and Lee Dong-hwi in lead roles.
In 2016, Jung Hae-in again made a special appearance in the television series, ‘Guardian: The Lonely and Great God’, starring Gong Yoo in the title role, alongside Lee Dong-wook, Kim Go-eun, Yoo In-na, and Yook Sung-jae.Â
After two years, Jung Hae-in made his lead appearance as King Heonjong in the 2018 historical drama film, ‘Heung-boo: The Revolutionist’, co-starring  Jung Woo, Kim Joo-hyuk, and Jung Jin-young.
Hae-in landed his first lead appearance in the romance drama, ‘Something in the Rain‘, starring alongside Son Ye-jin. This role earned him with rise in popularity in Asia. He was also cast in the period romance film ‘Tune in for Love‘ alongside Kim Go-eun, later that year.
He was seen in the lead role with Ma Dong-seok, Park Jung-min, Yum Jung-ah and Choi Sung-eun in the 2019 South Korean comedy-drama, ‘Start-Up‘ as as a school dropout. The film was directed and written by Choi Jung-yeol. In the same year, he acted in the romance drama, ‘One Spring Night‘ with Han Ji-min and Kim Jun-han.
Next year, Jung Hae-in starred in the 2020 romance drama ‘A Piece of Your Mind’ alongside Chae Soo-bin, Lee Ha-na, and Kim Sung-kyu.
In 2021, Hae-in starred in the Netflix series ‘D.P’ and he is all set to repeat his role in the second season of ‘D.P’ in 2023.
In 2022, Hae-in joined the South Korean television series, ‘Snowdrop’ alongside  Jisoo, Yoo In-na, Jang Seung-jo, Yoon Se-ah, Kim Hye-yoon, and Jung Yoo-jin.
