The movie, Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint is inspired by the famous webtoon Omniscient Reader. The webtoon portrays an action-packed fantasy story. The worldwide action fantasy webtoon fans have approved the web novel as a worthwhile read.
The webtoon ‘Omniscient Reader’ has a well-constructed plot base. On the way back home, Kim Dokja, a 28-year-old office employee leading a lonely life, gets trapped inside the web novel that he has been reading for the past decade. Being a loner, Dokja’s primary source of entertainment is reading his favourite web novel. ‘Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse (TWSA)’ is one of the stories in the web novel, and it is written by an anonymous author.
Dokja is the only reader who finishes the novel and becomes the only reader who knows the climax of the novel. When he gets involved in the world inside the novel, he takes responsibility for deviating the web novel from its actual storyline. To survive, he groups with the protagonist in the web novel, Yoo Joong-hyuk.
