BigHit Made its Announcement Regarding Military Enlistment of the Remaining BTS Members RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook
A bitter-sweet news for armies all over the world. The rest of the BTS members will soon leave to complete their military service. On Wednesday, BigHit Entertainment officially announced the military enlistment of RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook.
BTS’ military enlistment has always been a topic of discussion. According to South Korean rule, no ‘abled man’ is excluded from the 18 – 21 months of mandatory military service. The physically fit South Korean men should complete their military service between the age of 18-35. Still, the only people who are excused from the military service are the Olympic medal-winning athletes and classical musicians. Unfortunately, K-pop does not fall under the Korean classical music category.

This is BIGHIT MUSIC
We would like to inform our fans that RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook have initiated the military enlistment process.
The artists are preparing to fulfill their military service duties. We will inform you of further updates in due course.
We ask you for your continued love and support for RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook until they complete their military service and safely return. Our company will spare no effort in providing support for our artists.
Thank you.”
After becoming a matter of discussion among the fans, BigHit Entertainment announced the military enlistment of the oldest member Jin last year. Jin enlisted in his military service on 22 December 2022. Though the news made the ARMY sad, they cheered him with warm words and greetings. Following Jin, J-hope joined the army on 13 April 2023. The other member Suga has also enlisted in his military service. However, due to his physical condition, most probably the shoulder surgery that he underwent in 2020 limited him from regular combat duty. Therefore, he is fulfilling his military duty through municipal government duty.
Soon after the announcement is out, ARMY all over the world started responding both positively and negatively. Some are disappointed to hear the news but the other group is quite optimistic and showed their support by telling that they will lovingly wait for their favorite idols.
To cheer up the disappointed ARMY, the only option BigHit has is to announce Jin’s comeback soon after he finishes his military duties! BTS members have renewed their contract with their company BigHit and the company has already revealed the comeback of the group in 2025.
Even after the military enlistment of three of its members, Jin, J-Hope and Suga, the other members never made the ARMY lonely. They often uploaded new content and kept the ARMY updated about their whereabouts through lives streaming and IG posts.
RM is frequent with his IG posts through his official Instagram ID @rkive. The Instagram IDs of Jimin and V are @j.m and @thv respectively.
Also, the idols concentrated a lot on their solo performances and performed solo concerts. Jimin released his first studio album ‘Face’ on 24 March 2023 and V released his first solo album ‘Layover’ on 22 September 2023.
Lately, Jungkook is the BTS member who is more frequent with his latest updates on social media. He is frequent in streaming live videos. Recently, he released his solo album ‘Golden’ and completed his solo concert. BTS members are known for their support and love for each other, to show the ‘golden maknae’ their support the leader of the group RM attended his concert. Also, Jimin and J-Hope expressed their support in their own ways.
BTS members never fail to express their love for the ARMY. Being the youngest in the group, Jungkook on the pre-recording of his latest track ‘Standing Next To You’ gifted the ARMY a customised perfume. The perfume is named ‘GOLDEN’ with the fragrance of Tiger Lily and has 24-carat gold flakes.
