 Biography of Rain 

South Korean singer, actor, and producer, Jung Ji-hoon is known among people by his interesting stage name Rain. He came to the industry as a member of the boy group ‘Fanclub’ in 2002, but his fame was achieved mostly by his solo performances.

Early Life and Education

Rain was born on June 25, 1985. His career began when he debuted with the boy group ‘Fanclub’ in 2002. His career graph was heightened as he debuted in the solo album ‘Bad Guy’ in 2005. Very quickly he became one of the most successful Korean artists in the industry. This has gained him the name ‘king of pop’ as well.

One of his albums ‘Rainism’ was a big success in Korea and other parts of Asia as well.

In 2016, he began his ‘The Squall Tour’, which had stops in Japan, China, and other parts of Asia. This tour was a big success and it increased Rain’s popularity to a global level. These are the major albums that widened the popularity of Rain as a K-pop performer.

Acting Career

Rain made his career in acting with a supporting role in the Korean drama ‘Sang Doo! Let’s Go to School’ in 2003. His first lead role drama was ‘Full House’ in 2004. This established Rain’s position as one of the biggest stars in the industry. Rain’s acting career was not just limited to Korea. He made his Hollywood debut in the film, ‘Speed Racer’, directed by the Wachowski siblings. His other Hollywood movies include ‘Ninja Assassin’ and ‘Speed Racer’, also which helped to increase his global profile.
