Filming Has Started, Says The Crew Of Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint
‘Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint’ is a highly anticipated upcoming K-movie featuring the popular stars of the Hallyu world. ‘Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint’ is the movie adaptation of a webtoon of the same name. The publisher of the web novel ‘Omniscient Reader’ is Munpia.
The information about the cast members of the movie has already created a wave among the fans. In the main cast of the movie, Lee Min-ho, Ahn Hyo-seop, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, Nana, Park Ho-san, Chae Soo-bin, Choi Young-joon, and Shin Seung-ho can be seen.
Recently, the film-makers updated the news about the actors’ enthusiasm in reading the movie script and uploaded their photos. The film will be directed by Kim Byung-woo and produced by REALIES Pictures. Besides REALIES Pictures, the video game company Smilegate will invest in ‘Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint’. It is the first time that Smilegate is investing in a South Korean movie.
Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint’s Cast and Their Roles
The favourite actor of Hallyu fans, Lee Min-ho appears as Yoo Joong Hyuk in the movie. Joong Hyuk is a character who lives inside the novel that the real hero of the movie, Kim Dok-ja reads. Yoo Joong-hyuk represents a brave character who tries to survive in a collapsing world using his rationality and fighting skills. In the movie, there happens a paradigm shift when the hero Kim Dok-ja gets pulled into the novel.

Apart from the well-experienced actor Lee Min-ho, Ahn Hyo-seop, the Canadian actor and singer is preparing for his big screen appearance. In the film, he appears as a man who loves to read and accidentally gets sucked into the fictional world of the novel that he reads. He comes in the role of Kim Dok-ja, an ordinary office employee who leads a normal life like everybody else around him. The novel that he reads is named ‘Three Ways to Survive in a Ruined World’. When he gets pulled inside the novel, it becomes his responsibility to help the hero of the novel, Yoo Joong Hyuk to survive, since he is the only one who knows the climax of the novel.
To help Dok-ja who gets trapped in the fictional land with the characters inside the novel, actress Chae Soo-bin appears Yoo Sang-ah. She is an officer worker and a colleague of Kim Dok-ja. In Dok-ja’s journey into a fictitious land, she accompanies him and gives him a shoulder to lean on when he feels demotivated. Her flexible and quick adaptive personality helps her to adjust to the world that they have jumped into.
The other cast members Nana and Shin Seung-ho appear as the characters inside the novel. Dok-ja meets these people when he gets involved in the story of the novel. In the novel, Shin Seung-ho is an ex-soldier with amazing power and also, he is excellent at defence. Whereas Nana appears as a deity, the powerful goddess of Justice.
Appearance of Jisoo in Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint
Jisoo‘s role in the movie is something that the entire K-drama and K-pop fans look into. She plays the role of a character in the novel named Lee Ji-hye. She stands by the side of Yoo Joong-hyuk and shows great strength and determination and overcomes each hurdle together.
The character of Han Myung-oh will be played by Choi Young-joon. He is the superior of the company where Kim Dok-ja works.
