Synopsis

Lee Ja-sung is an undercover officer but is currently a part of a corporate crime syndicate firm. He has been working at Goldmoon International, South Korea’s most powerful crime syndicate firm, for 8 years, obeying the commands of his chief, Kang. Chief Kang planned to take hold of the crime syndicate corporation, Goldmoon International, by implanting Lee Ja-sung, his trusted man in the firm.

Ja-sung agreed to disguise himself as a bad guy on the condition that he would be re-enrolled in the police force one day. However, whenever he puts forward the offered proposal of moving abroad as a police officer, Chief Kang shows no interest in taking action regarding the matter. It was hard for him to survive in Goldmoon International as a mole from getting captured by his enemies. Therefore, he tells Chief Kang about his plan to resign from his duty as a spy and a police officer, the Chief instantly threatens him by telling him that he will reveal his real identity to the corporation.

The friction in the air tightens up on behalf of the sudden demise of Goldmoon International’s Chairman, Seok Dong-chool. To succeed in the chairman position, two equally powerful men, Jung Chung and Lee Joong-gu, start to conspire their plans.

Jung Chung has strong ties with the Northmoon clan, who are the Chinese descendants, and Lee Joong-gu is supported by the Jaebum Faction. To weaken the power of Goldmoon International, Chief Kang turns Jung Chung and Joong-gu against each other. Chief Kang plans to place Su-ki as the next chairman since he is the weakest among the folks. Su-ki is a puppet who sits in the position of vice president of the corporation.

Chief Kang approaches Jung and makes a deal. Kang promises to redeem him from his crimes if he betrays Joong-gu and reveals evidence about him. Later, Chief Kang backstabs Jung Chung and informs Joong-gu about his betrayal. An angry Joong-gu makes arrangements to kill Jung Chung. His men attack Jung Chung, and he gets severely injured. Simultaneously, a group of Joong-gu’s men breaks into Ja-sung’s house and tries to kill his pregnant wife. However, with the interference of the police at the correct time, she was able to escape from the thugs, but the incident causes a miscarriage.

Ja-sung becomes terrified by the surprise attack caused to his family. Therefore, he approaches Chief Kang to beg him for his re-enrolment in the police force. To make him stay in the crime syndicate firm, Kang removes Ja-sung’s profile from the police force. Later, Ja-sung visits Jung Chung in the hospital. In their conversation, Ja-sung realises that Jung Chung knows everything about Ja-sung and keeps it a secret due to their friendship.

The conversation that Ja-sung had with Jung Chung on his deathbed changes Ja-sung’s mind. He decides to continue his work at Goldmoon International. He takes up Jung Chung’s factions and earns the trust of Su-ki’s men. Ja-sung’s uprising as a new dominant power provoked Su-ki. Therefore, he orders his men to kill Ja-sung. However, his men kill him instead of Ja-sung.

After killing Su-ki, Ja-sung orders his men to assassinate Chief Kang, Joong-gu, and Police Director Ko. Later, Ja-sung becomes the new chairman of Goldmoon International.
