The Upcoming Superhero K-drama, CASHERO, Will Make Its Appearance With A Stellar Cast

‘Cashero’ is the upcoming South Korean television series based on a webtoon of the name ‘Cashero’. The story of the webtoon goes as follows: the hero, Kang Sang-woong, becomes a superhero in a sudden turn of events. He grows powerful as the money in his wallet increases. The only drawback is that his money drains out when he uses his power. His girlfriend, Kim Min-sook, is the greatest support in his life. Though she is happy for her boyfriend to have such great power, she thinks his power is inefficient since he has to earn money to use it.
While leading his life as a superhuman, he meets two more people with similar supernatural abilities. Through them, he learns about the existence of a criminal organisation that hunts down the superhumans.
The drama proceeds by showing the trio fight against the criminal organisation.
The drama will be directed by Lee Chang Min, the man behind ‘Agency’ and ‘Welcome to Waikiki’. The script of the drama is co-written by Lee Je-in and Cheon Chan-ho, the duo who penned ‘Sisyphus: The Myth’. The drama will be available on Netflix and is expected to be released in 2025.

Lee Jun-ho plays the role of Kang Sang-woong, the government employee who turns into a superhero. Sang-woong’s dream is to buy a new house. However, the supernatural power that he receives becomes a barrier to achieving his dream. Since his supernatural ability is dependent on the amount of money that he possesses, he loses his money every time he uses his supernatural power. Consequently, he gets trapped in a situation with no money or power.
Kim Hye-joon appears as the girlfriend of Kang Sang-woong. She plays the role of Kim Min-sook. She is a talented young woman who always supports Sang-woong in every situation. She becomes the pillar of support for Sang-woong when his superpower is revealed.
Min-sook is excellent at analytical thinking and mathematical calculations. She believes that being efficient is the best quality that everyone should have.
To help Sang-woong in his new journey, Kim Byung-chul appears as Byun Ho-in. He is a lawyer in the drama. His superpower is evoked when he consumes alcohol. He appears in the drama as a figure who is rebellious against the organisation that is formed to destroy the new superhero in the town.
When he discovers the supernatural ability of Sang-woong, Ho-in asks him to ally with him to fight against the organisation. Actress Kim Hyang-gi plays another supernatural role in the drama. She plays the role of Bang Eun-mi. Her power is evoked according to the calories that she takes in. Eun-mi is a smart girl and joins Sang-woong and Ho-in in their mission of fighting against the anti-superhero organisation.
