Biography of Lee Jun-ho
Lee Jun-ho, popularly known as Junho is a South Korean dancer, songwriter, composer, singer and actor. He is a member of the South Korean boy band 2PM, and is also known for his acting in the television series, ‘Good Manager’, ‘Rain or Shine’, ‘The Red’ and ‘King the Land’.
Early Life and Education
Junho was born on 25 January 1990 in Seoul, South Korea. After his school education, he joined Howon University in Gunsan, South Korea for his undergraduate programme. Bandmates Chansung and Wooyoung were his classmates during this programme. Later, along with Chansung, he enrolled in Sejong University and took a master’s degree in cinematography.

Music Career
Jun-ho gained popularity by winning the Superstar Survival award in 2006, after placing first out of 6,000 competitors. Later that year, he signed a contract with JYP Entertainment.
In 2008, he participated in Mnet’s ‘Hot Blood Men’ and took part in extreme training sessions with 13 members to become a member of the boy band One Day. Yet, the band was split and formed two boy bands 2AM and 2PM. He became a member of the seven-member hip-hop band 2PM later with Nichkhun, Taecyeon, Wooyoung, Jun. K and Chansung.
The 2PM band debuted their first single ’10 Points out of 10 Points’, six months after the release of the documentary ‘Hot Bood’.
It took around 5 five years for Jun-ho to make a solo performance since he started his singing career. In 2013, he embarked on the roles of a lyricist, composer and producer for all tracks of his maiden solo Japanese mini-album, ‘Kimi no Koe’. This album led him to achieve the topmost position on the Tower Records charts.
On 9 July 2014, he unveiled his second self-written Japanese mini-album, ‘Feel’ and on 15 July 2015, he introduced his third Japanese mini-album, ‘SO GOOD’. The same year in September, he made his debut Korean album, ‘One’.
After two years, he made his fourth Japanese mini-album, ‘DSMN’ in 2016. Next year, he presented his fifth Japanese mini-album, ‘2017S/S’.
In 2018, Lee Jun-ho released a single, ‘Winter Sleep’ in Korean and Japanese. He also released his seventh Japanese mini-album, ‘Imagination’ on 11 July 2018.
Junho made his second Korean compilation album, ‘Two’, in January 2019.
Music CompositionsÂ
In 2012, Jun-ho collaborated with Korean actress Kim So-eum and created the song, ‘Sad Love’ on MBC’s programme Music and Lyrics. This single garnered notable honours promptly securing positions within the top 10 ranks of diverse music charts.
He then made collaborative work with his fellow member Jang Woo-young in the composition, ‘Move On’. Junho also composed for Woo-young’s Korean debut EP, ’23, Male, Single’, contributing to the track “Be With You” in 2013.
Acting Career
Lee Jun-ho made his debut in acting with the South Korean action thriller, ‘Cold Eyes’, starring Sol Kyung-gu, Jung Woo-sung, and Han Hyo-joo. It is the remake of the 2007 Hong Kong film, ‘Eye in the Sky’. His role as a detective in this film earned him a lot of appreciation for his acting from the viewers.
Junho was featured in the South Korean martial arts period romance drama film, ‘Memories of the Sword’ in 2015 by Park Heung-sik, starring Lee Byung-hun, Jeon Do-yeon and Kim Go-eun. He then appeared in the South Korean comedy-drama film, ‘Twenty’, starring Kim Woo-bin, Lee Jun-ho, and Kang Ha-neul.
In 2016, he appeared in a supporting role in the South Korean thriller television series, ‘Memory’. Next year, he played a role in the hit comedy-drama, ‘Good Manager’, starring in a villain role with Namkoong Min, Nam Sang-mi, Lee Jun-ho and Jung Hye-sung.
Lee Jun-ho made his first lead role in the JTBC’s romantic melodrama series, ‘Rain or Shine’, alongside Won Jin-ah, Lee Ki-woo and Kang Han-na. He played the role of a psychologically scarred survivor of a fatal incident. This drama explained the love, hope and dreams of people from 11 December 2017 to 30 January 2018.
In 2018, he was cast in his first Japanese movie, ‘Rose and Tulip’, where he played duo roles. In the same year, he starred in the South Korean television series, ‘Wok of Love’ with Jang Hyuk and Jung Ryeo-won. Also, he was cast in the historical comedy film, ‘Gibang Bachelor’.
Junho costarred with Shin Hyun-been and Yoo Jae-myung in the 2019 South Korean television series, ‘Confession’.
After two years in November 2021, he played the role of Crown Prince Yi San, alongside Lee Se-young as Royal Consort Uibin Seong in the historical romance drama, ‘The Red Sleeve’. This drama gained him with a lot of success earning him 8 awards at the 2021 MBC Drama Awards.
He played a lead role alongside  Im Yoon-ah in the romantic-comedy drama, ‘King the Land’ and it is considered his latest work as of 2023.

Lee Jun-ho started his mandatory military service as a public service worker on 30 May 2019. However, because of his severe shoulder injury during the acrobatics practice session in 2010 and underwent surgery in 2012, he was found unfit for active duty. He was discharged on 20 March 2021.
