Entertainment Excitement : 2024 Baeksang Art Award Nominations Announced

Know All about 2024 Baeksang Art Award Nominations 

South Korea’s one of the most prestigious award ceremonies, the Baeksang Arts Awards is all set to celebrate entertainment excellence after announcing nominees for its 60th year on 8 April 2024.

Baeksang Arts Awards, established in 1965 honours the best from television shows, OTT programs to films aired or released between 1 April 2023, and 31 March 2024 will be held at COEX in Seoul on 7 May 2024 at 5 pm.

Some ongoing series were also considered for the competing race if at least one-third of the shows had aired by 31 March.

Kim Soo-hyun Nominated for Best Actor

Kim Soo-hyun is one of the highest-paid actors in South Korea. Since his debut on the television show ‘Kimchi Cheese Smile’, in 2007, he has established himself as a prominent actor in the entertainment industry. Kim Soo-hyun was born on 16 February 1988 in Seoul, South Korea.

He has taken on leading roles in several popular television dramas including ‘Dream High’ in 2011 and ‘Moon Embracing the Sun’ in 2012, which were both critically acclaimed and commercially successful. He also starred in several hit movies, such as ‘The Thieves’, in 2012 and ‘Secretly’,  ‘Greatly’ in 2013.

Soo-hyun’s achievements include two Grand Bell Awards, one Blue Dragon Film Award, and four Baeksang Arts Awards.

Due to his heart condition, Kim Soo-hyun was not eligible to serve in the regular army. However, he requested a re-examination out of a desire to be on active duty, and with consistent medical care, he was eventually given first-degree military service. In 2017, Soo-hyun, at 29 years old, enlisted in a front-line reconnaissance battalion. He received the unique warrior designation in the army for his perseverance and bravery.
