Nam Joo-hyuk’s Diverse Roles
Nam Joo-hyuk made his first appearance as the main lead in the K-drama ‘Who Are You: School 2015’ released in 2015. The drama was a teen romance with 16 episodes. However, his fame spread as world fire with his role in the drama ‘Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo’. It was his second K-drama as the main lead after doing supporting roles in ‘Cheese in Trap’Â and Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, a historical K-drama.

Synopsis of Vigilante
The vigilante in the K-drama ‘Vigilante’ is a young man named Kim Ji-yong. He is a dedicated and well-disciplined police trainee with excellent academic scores. However, he is not restricted to mere academics, he also has a good athletic background. The trauma that caused him after the death of his mother compels him to live a dual life. The other life of Kim Ji-yong is that of a vigilante who punishes the criminals. He hunts down criminals who escape from the punishment of their heinous crimes.
His mother died after getting cruelly beaten up. The court did not give the criminal the punishment that he deserved. Instead, the law puts him in jail for three and a half years. During Kim Ji-yong’s training days, he finds the man out of jail living the same life that he used to live. He begins his life as a vigilante to punish the man who became the cause of his mother’s death. However, he is not able to control his craving to punish the criminals who receive light sentences for their brutal crimes from the court.

His hidden life as a vigilante is supported by a reporter named Cho Kang-ok. The reporter sides with Ji-yong in his private punishments and reports his achievements whenever he punishes a culprit. Kim Ji-yong’s superior officer detects the presence of a vigilante and he suspects Ji-yong. On the other side, there are also people who want to get rid of the vigilante of the city.
