Baek Hyun-woo, a young man from an agricultural family, is married to the third-generation chaebol heiress, Hong Hae-in. The story revolves around the young couple and the various problems that they get into in their lives. The couple works at Queens Group, which is owned by Hong Hae-in’s family. The drama progresses by portraying the ways that love rejuvenates in their marital relationship.

An ambitious film director called Im Sol meets with an accident and becomes bedridden. On the saddest days of her life, she relies on the songs of her favourite idol, Ryu Sun-jae. Though he is a successful artist, he finds his job as an idol a burden. Im Sol’s source of comfort dries up when Ryu Sun-jae dies in an accident.
The real story of Im Sol and Ryu Sun-jae begins after the death of Ryu Sun-jae. In sleep, Im Sol time travels to the past and opens her eyes in a classroom. She finds herself 15 years younger than her current age and later meets the 19 year-old Ryu Sub-jae. The incident gives her a ray of hope to redirect both her and Ryu Sun-jae’s lives from meeting the tragedy.

‘Lovely Runner’ is starred by Byeon Woo-seok and Kim Hye-yoon. Byeon Woo-seok plays the role of Ryu Sun-jae, the idol in the story, and Kim Hye-yoon plays the role of Im Sol, a fan of Ryu Sun-jae. The drama is written by Lee Shi-eun and co-directed by Yoon Jong-ho and Kim Tae-yeop.
Originally, the drama is a web novel named ‘Tomorrow’s Best’ that was later illustrated by the illustrator Dong Dong into a webtoon.
