Viki’s Top-rated K-drama, ‘Lovely Runner’ is Soon Making its OTT Release on Netflix

Happy news for the international K-drama fans who have been waiting to watch ‘Lovely Runner’. The drama was first aired on limited platforms like Rakuten Viki and the South Korean television channel tvN. It reached viewers in around 109 countries and topped No. 1 on the viewership chart. The countries that were included in the initial broadcast were the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Brazil, France, Mexico, and a few more Asian countries.

The show was streamed from 8 April to 28 May 2024. It was a national hit and topped the viewership chart for six consecutive weeks, creating new records.

Synopsis of Lovely Runner

‘Lovely Runner’ revolves around the life of a girl named Im Sol and her favourite K-pop idol, Ryu Sun-jae.

Im Sol becomes paralyzed as she meets with an accident. When the aspiring young talent becomes bedridden, losing hope of becoming a director, it is Ryu Sun-jae’s music that comforts her. However, her life becomes worse when she hears the reports on the suicide of Ryu Sun-jae.

One day after his death, she wakes up in a classroom where she is 15 years younger than her current age. She takes the golden opportunity of living fifteen years in the past and takes the chance to meet Ryu Sun-jae. With the determination to change the fate that will happen to their lives in the future, she decides to navigate both of their lives to a happy one.
