My Demon Season 2: Is It Truly Happening?

Waiting for the second season of ‘My Demon’? It seems you have to wait a little longer for an official announcement. It is true that the handsome demon and the icy heiress have captivated us, and we desperately miss the couple as the drama has ended. However, SBS has not released a confirmation regarding the second season of the drama.

‘My Demon’ was one of the best gifts that the K-drama fans got in 2023. The drama, directed by Kim Jang-han and Kwon Da-som, features Kim Yoo-jung and Song Kang in the lead roles. The supporting cast includes Lee Sang-yi, Kim Tae-hoon, Kim Hae-sook, Jo Yeon-hee, and Lee Yoon-ji. The drama was streamed by SBS from 24 November 2023 to 20 January 2024. For international fans, it is available on NETFLIX.

‘My Demon’ has all the factors that every K-drama fan loves. The story is a perfect blend of romance, fantasy, comedy, enemies to lovers, bodyguard CEO, and past life stories. Now, the fans are eagerly waiting for news about its second season.

However, the drama happily ends by clearing all the doubts of fans, and the continuation of the story in a second season is uncertain. Therefore, to date, information regarding the  second season of the drama is out of the question. Even so, there are dramas which surprise the audience with a thrilling second season. Jeong Gu-won, a demon from hell, visits the human realm to make deals with people. On behalf of the agreement that he creates, the people who sign the agreement can live the life that they wish for until their deaths. However, the deal is not for free.

At the moment when the contract party’s duty on earth ends, Jeong Gu-won appears in front of them to take their souls to hell for eternal torture. Yes, Jeong Gu-won trades human souls for the luxury that he grants to the second party.

Jeong Gu-won’s superpowers leave him when he meets the smart and gorgeous successor of Future Group, Do Do-hee. She has an unruffled personality with no trust in love. However, fate turns her into the key to unlock the powers of Jeong Gu-won. He becomes a weakling when his power leaves him. However, in Do Do-hee’s presence, he regains his powers every time.

Therefore, his existence comes into question when he is away from her, since in the absence of his powers, anyone can bring fatal harm to the eternal being. To ensure each other’s safety, Jeong Gu-won and Do Do-hee agree to a contract marriage. The marriage brings a chain of obstacles for the couple to tackle.

The drama turns more exciting when the two start to have feelings for each other and when they learn about their past lives. Also, after taking the characters through heartbreaking scenarios, the drama ends happily.
