Biography of Lee Do-hyun
Lim Dong-hyun professionally known as Lee Do-hyun is a South Korean actor. He is popular for his roles in ‘Hotel del Luna‘, ’18 Again’, ‘Sweet Home’, ‘Youth of May’, ‘The Glory: Part 1′, ‘The Glory: Part 2‘ and ‘The Good Bad Mother‘.
Early Life and Education
Lee Do-hyun was born on 11 April 1995 in Seoul, South Korea as the family’s eldest son. Do-hyun spent his childhood with his intellectually disabled younger brother, Lim Dong-hyuk. After completing his basic education, he graduated from the Department of Film and Theater at Chung-Ang University.
Career
Lee Do-hyun made his acting debut in the 2017 black comedy South Korean television series, ‘Prison Playbook’ where he portrayed the young version of Jung Kyung-ho’s character.
Next Year, he was cast in a supporting role as a member of the high school’s rowing club in the romantic television series ‘Still 17’. Alongside actors, Ahn Hyo-seop and Jo Hyun-sik, he was nominated under the ‘Character of the Year’ category at the 2018 SBS Drama Awards. In the same year, he also appeared in the 2018 South Korean television series, ‘Clean with Passion for Now’, starring Yoon Kyun-sang, Kim Yoo-jung and Song Jae-rim where he played the female lead’s younger brother who is a Taekwondo athlete.
In 2019, he was cast in the South Korean television series, ‘Hotel del Luna’ in a minor role starring Lee Ji-eun and Yeo Jin-goo in the lead role.
Also, he made a special appearance in the South Korean television series, ‘The Great Show’, starring Song Seung-heon, Lee Sun-bin, and Lim Ju-hwan.
Do-hyun made his first lead role alongside Kim Ha-neul and Yoon Sang-hyun in the romantic comedy South Korean television series, ’18 Again’ based on the 2009 film, ’17 Again’ in 2020. He earned several awards for his outstanding performance in this drama. By the end of the same year, he played the leading role of a cool-headed and cynical character in Netflix’s ‘Sweet Home’ adopted from the webtoon of the same name.
In 2021, Lee Do-hyun appeared in the South Korean television series, ‘Beyond Evil’, starring Shin Ha-kyun and Yeo Jin-goo. Also, appeared in the drama, ‘Youth of May’ and co-acted with Im Soo-jung in the drama, ‘Melancholia’. Later, he became the MC of the 2021 KBS Drama Awards with Sung Si-kyung and Kim So-hyun.
Do-hyun starred in the web series, ‘Reincarnation Romance’ which advertises motion sickness pills in 2022. By the end of the year, he returned to the television screen with the Netflix drama, ‘The Glory’ with Song Hye-kyo.
In 2023, he played a lead role in the K-drama as Lee Mi-joo in ‘The Good Bad Mother’, starring alongside Ra Mi-ran, Ahn Eun-jin and Yoo In-soo.
