Lee Jong-suk And Go Min-si Rejected the Offer from the Upcoming K-drama I’m Against My Romance
In November, it was decided that the upcoming drama ‘I’m Against My Romance’ would feature the prominent figures of the Hallyu industry, Lee Jong-suk and Go Min-si. However, the latest news reveals that the drama stars have turned down the offered roles in the drama.
Nonetheless, the production company has refused the rumour of cancelling the project. As confirmed before, Studio Dragon will produce the drama. Recently, they stated that the cast directing crew of the drama is still searching for an appropriate cast.
The Storyline of I’m Against My Romance
Hong Jae-bi and Kim Tae-kyung, the heroine and hero of the drama ‘I’m Against My Romance’, were two darling sweethearts back ten years ago. However, they broke up and started living their own lives without intervening in one another’s life for ten years.
The cycle of destiny once again places them opposite one another. The ex-lovers feel a need to experiment to see if they still have feelings for the other person. Or if their feelings for each other are completely dead, as they claim.
Though Hong Jae-bi and Kim Tae-kyung once had a romantic relationship, they have contrasting characters. Hong Jae-bi works as a daycare teacher in Seonjeon-dong. She is an impulsive individual who acts before thinking. However, she regrets it deeply every time she makes a wrong decision. Furthermore, she thinks she is unworthy of having Kim Tae-kyung in her life because Kim Tae-kyung has a righteous personality.
Nonetheless, time has something else in store for them down the road. When Hong Jae-bi and Kim Tae-kyung meet again, they realise that they still love the each other.
The show creators invited Lee Jong-suk and Go Min-si to act in the lead roles in the drama in November. The drama will be directed by Lee Eung-bok, the director of famous dramas like ‘Goblin’ (2016), ‘Descendants of the Sun‘ (2016), ‘Mr. Sunshine’ (2018), and ‘Dream High’ (2011).
Choi Hyun-wook Turned Down the Offered Role
Initially, the casting directors approached Choi Hyun-wook, offering the role of Kim Tae-kyung. However, Choi Hyun-wook turned down the offer due to his tight schedule.
