If you’re up for some suspense-filled dramas—from gruesome murder cases to unimaginable large-scale corruption plots—here is a new K-drama on the way: ‘Flex x Cop’ is scheduled to appear on the screens in January 2024. The series portrays the growth and romance of an immature third-generation chaebol who turned into a detective.

Plot

Jin Yi-soo (Ahn Bo-hyun) is a third-generation member of the Chaebol family. Yi-soo has a childish personality, and he loves to have fun. Being a third-generation conglomerate, Jin Yi-soo has everything in life and never requires others’ assistance. Things start changing when he joins the violent investigative team at the Kangha Police Station that specialises in catching robbers.

He tries to wipe out criminals by using his connections, wealth and brilliant intelligence. Jin Yi-soo works with Lee Kang-hyun (Park Ji-hyun), who leads the violent crimes team. Kang-hyun is a veteran detective with smooth social skills who is highly dedicated to catching criminals. Although Lee Kang-hyun views Jin Yi-soo as a thorn in her side, they begin to work together as partners. Her detective life faces a major turning point as their relationship ultimately leads to them becoming partners.

Cast

Ahn Bo-hyun will play the role of the immature third-generational chaebol Jin Yi-soo, who catches criminals not only by mobilising his wealth and personal connections from a rich family background but also his intelligence and physical skills. The actor, model, and television personality Ahn Bo-hyun graced screens with incredible talent, a fit physique, and charming good looks.

Park Ji-hyun transforms into a charismatic detective Lee Kang-hyun, the first female team leader of the Homicide Department and a veteran detective who graduated from a police academy. Park Ji-hyun exudes unrivalled charisma as a female detective who is passionate, has a strong sense of responsibility and takes pride in being a police officer.

The lead cast includes Ahn Bo-hyun as Jin Yi-soo, Park Ji-hyun as Lee Kang-hyun, alongside Kang Sang-jun, Kim Shin-bi, Jeong Ga-hee, Jang Hyun-sung, Jeon Hye-jin, Kwon Hae-hyo, Yoon Yoo-sun, Kim Myung-soo, and a special appearance by Lee Na-eun and Kwak Si-yang.

Release Date

The drama is SBS’ inaugural Friday-Saturday drama for the new year 2024, has officially announced its premiere date. The series is set to premiere on January 26, 2024, as disclosed by the network. The series will air on SBS TV and Disney+ Hotstar every Friday and Saturday at 22:00 (KST), right after the conclusion of the Friday-Saturday drama ‘My Demon’.
