Biography of Sanha
Yoon San-ha popularly known by his stage name Sanha is a celebrated South Korean singer, dancer and actor under the label Fantagio. He is a member and lead vocalist of ASTRO, the South Korean boy group, initially composed of 6 members: MJ, Jinjin, Cha Eun-woo, Yoon San-ha, Moonbin and Rocky. He is also a member of its sub-unit Moonbin & Sanha.
Early Life and Education
Yoon San-ha was born on 21 March 2000 and he attended Baegwoon Middle School. He completed his education at Hanlim Multi Art School in 2019. He has two older brothers named Jun-ha and Je-ha. He is the youngest of his family.
Career
On 16 December 2012, Yoon San-ha was accepted as a Fantagio iTeen trainee and was officially introduced as the third trainee. In 2015, Sanha along with his fellow ASTRO members starred in the teen fantasy web drama “To Be Continued”.
Yoon San-ha debuted as an ASTRO member on 23 February 2016 with their mini album ‘Spring Up’. GFriend’s Umji and Sanha together hosted the talk-show Yogobara focusing on teenage concerns and worries in 2018. For TVN D’s variety talk show ‘Blanket Kick at Night’, Sanha and MJ were the emcee in 2019. He starred in the 2019 show, ‘Love Formula 11M’ which shows the everyday struggles of youths.
On 4 March 2020, Yoon San-ha was the host along with bandmate Moonbin and Verivery’s Kangmin for Show Champion. They achieved their inaugural victory from SBS MTV’s “The Show,” signifying their first triumph as a sub-unit and their third overall win as members of ASTRO.
On 14 August 2020, the label officially announced the ASTRO’s first sub-unit called Moonbin & Sanha. They released their first EP titled “In-Out” with the title track “Bad Idea” on 14 September 2020. They achieved their win from SBS MTV’s “The Show, “signifying their first triumph as a sub-unit and their third win as members of Astro.
On 16 September 2021, Sanha along with DreamNote’s Sumin, Han GiChan, Kim JiHoon, and Han Seoul starred in the music, idol web series “Your Playlist”. The drama narrates the plotline of a composer, beloved fans and the bonds of friendship.
He was one of the cast members for the South Korean production of the hit Off-Broadway musical Altar Boyz. He played the role of Abraham along with Golden Child’s Y and Joochan, NU’EST’s Baekho and SF9’s Taeyang.
In 2022, his debut terrestrial drama Crazy Love starring Kim Jae-wook, Krystal Jung and Ha Jun. He appeared as Lee Su-ho, Lee Shin-ahs brother. On 30 December 2022, Fantagio officially announced Sanha’s renewal of his contract with the agency. The sub-unit Moonbin & Sanha got disbanded after the unexpected death of Moonbin on 19 April 2023.

The rising prominence of the ASTRO band made them win and be nominated for multiple awards and accolades, including the Golden Disc Award Best Performance Award (2020), the Dahsyatnya Awards for Outstanding Guest Star (2017), and the Seoul Music Awards K-Wave Popular Award (2017). The member’s commitment and unity contributed to their triumphs and the success of the band.
