Aria is an Indian singer under Escrow Entertainment based in South Korea. She is a former member of the girl group MEP-C through the training platform Universe. She is the maknae of the group X:IN. She is the second Indian K-pop idol to find her way into the K-pop industry.

Early Life and Education

Aria was born on 12 March 2003 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. She completed her education in Mumbai. Her birth name is Gauthami.

Career

She made her debut as a child actor in the movie ‘Melvilasom’ in 2011. In 2013, in the movie ‘Thank You’, she played the role of Arun’s daughter.

In early 2022, she joined GBK Entertainment and enrolled as a trainee on the online training platform Universe. On 29 November 2022, she was selected as one of the five members of GBK’s girl group MEP-C. In early 2023, she left the group after her profile post was deleted.

On 7 March 2023 she officially revealed she was a member of the girl group X:IN. The announcement was made in the line-up reveal video for the 44th K-Stage Yes or No event along with Nova, where the group performed. The official confirmation of her membership from the label was on 8 March 2023 as the fifth and final member.

The girl group consists of other members: E.Sha, Nizz, Nova, and Hannah. On 11 April 2023, X:IN made their first debut with their first full-length album ‘Keeping the Fire’. The group released a pre-debut single ‘Who Am I’ on 12 March 2023.
