Synopsis
Noh Hwi-oh (Jung Woo) works as a detective in the violent crimes division of the Gangnam Police Station. His life was going smooth until an incident took place. He got suspended after a raid in a bar that turned into a fight, and after this incident, he turned into a person who gets angry at everything. The suspended detective is required to attend anger management counselling and meets a woman named Lee Min-kyung (Oh Yeon-seo) at his therapist’s office who also happens to be his next-door neighbour.

Lee Min-kyung is a pretty woman who lives an ordinary life with a respectable job. Min-kyung wears sunglasses and frumpy clothes and has frizzy hair, which she adorns with a sunflower, making a classic crazy girl outfit. She is caught up in her delusions and compulsions. An incident makes Min-kyung’s peaceful life break down. One day, Lee Min-kyung finds out that her boyfriend is married and he becomes abusive and violent towards her. This trauma leaves her anxious and afraid; thereafter, she doesn’t trust anyone anymore.

When Lee Min-kyung notices Hwi-oh at her therapist’s office and outside her apartment, she thinks that he is a crazy stalker. Later, she realises that Hwi-oh is her next-door neighbour, who struggles with anger management, and upon knowing him, she is drawn to his dependable and strong personality. Attending their therapy sessions, Noh Hwi-oh and Lee Min-kyung cross paths and develop an impression of each other.
While Hwi-oh tries to clear his name from the case and get reinstated as a detective, he tries to help his new friend find health and healing. Meanwhile, another character is introduced, Lee Su-hyun (Lee Su-hyun), who lives in the neighbourhood and has a string of part-time jobs while studying to become a police officer. Su-hyun often meets Min-kyung at the convenience store.
Lee Sang-yeob (Ahn Woo-yeon) is a computer genius who lives in the same apartment building as Min-kyung and Hwi-oh and helps Hwi-oh in his investigation. Sang-yeob goes out at night dressed in women’s clothing under the identity of a girl named Samantha as part of an undercover investigation.

Another character is introduced, Lee Seon-ho (Kim Nam-hee), who is Min-kyung’s ex-boyfriend. Lee Seon-ho, the violent and cruel person, will do anything to keep his ex-girlfriend Min-kyung from pressing charges against him and sending him to prison. One day, he poisons Min-kyung’s pet dog and kidnaps her.
Ending Explained
After being drugged and kidnapped by the psycho Lee Seon-ho, Min-kyung and Hwi-oh both end up in the hospital, where they have a sweet reunion. However, when Hwi-oh is released, he finds out that Min-kyung has moved out of the building, and he chases after the moving van to tell her that he loves her. She stops upon seeing Hwi-oh beating up some random stranger, who seems to be the guy from the wanted poster.

A time jump shows Lee Su-hyun and Lee Sang-yeob are happy together and busy building their YouTube channel. Hwi-oh is back to work, and now everything seems to be going well. Hwi-oh and Min-kyung’s dog, whom she chases into the parking garage, are sitting around. They both miss her and when they suddenly hear her whistle, Hwi-oh runs out and finds Min-kyung looking happy and relaxed. Hwi-oh and Min-kyung stand smiling at each other, and a happy ending song plays in the background.
