Synopsis
Choi Seung-hyo is a handsome young man adored by everyone. He is praised as a gentleman and also a prominent architect. Except for the sour past that he has with Bae Seok-ryu, his life is now a whole good story.
Bae Seok-ryu is Seung-hyo’s childhood friend whom he befriended at a very young age. She works in a multinational company and is the daughter of Seung-hyo’s mother’s best friend.
- Jeong Mo-eum is another important character in the story. She is the childhood friend and apparently the only one who knows the secret between Seok-ryu and Seung-hyo. She chooses to work in the 119 paramedic, driven by the passion to become a hero, and is quite satisfied with her job.
Bae Seok-ryu, Seung-hyo and Mo-eum are the pride of their parents.
One day Seok-ryu returns to Korea, leaving her job in the US and breaking off her marriage with her fiancĆ©. Even so, Seok-ryu hides all these things from her parents. At first, she feels nervous about telling them about her plan to relax and eat good food. She has always been her parents’ pride from childhood. Therefore, she was sure that her parents would disagree with her plan to quit her job and live her leisurely life.

However, she sticks to her plan of staying at home without giving any explanation. She soon becomes bored since everyone around her is busy with their work, including Jeong Mo-eum and Seung-hyo. Therefore, she decides to look into herself and find her dream.
While searching for her dream, she helps Seung-hyo with his work. One day he receives an offer of collaboration from a prestigious company (Seok-ryu’s previous company). When Seok-ryu learns that he received a new offer from her former company, she decides to help him since he is not fluent in English.
After attending the business meeting, Seok-ryu cautioned Seung-hyo that the company would not approve Seung-hyo’s project since she knew that they had other plans in mind. Nonetheless, Seung-hyo’s partner has already recorded their meeting and sent it to the other company’s chairman, adding a note that they are disappointed in the way the company members treated them. Impressed by the project, the chairman accepted their collaboration despite the other staff’s opinions.
Surprisingly, Seung-hyo’s ex-girlfriend enters the scene, making Seok-ryu a little jealous. She approaches Seung-hyo asking for help, and he agrees to help her. Seok-ryu also offers her help.
Seung-hyo’s ex-girlfriend is passionate about making pottery. Seok-ryu gets impressed by the way she works hard to make her dream a reality. While working with them, Seok-ryu realises that her true interest lies in cooking, and she thinks that the right time has arrived to follow her dream.

Seok-ryu has received appreciation for her cooking from her parents from the day she started cooking. Also, in her childhood, she used to visit her father’s restaurant and cook with him. With Seung-hyo’s encouragement, she starts attending cooking classes, but she keeps it a secret from her parents.
Without a warning, Seok-ryu’s ex-fiancĆ© comes to meet Seok-ryu. He expresses his wish to rekindle their relationship. Although she rejects him, her ex-fiancĆ© continues to put his efforts into impressing her. Seung-hyo becomes jealous whenever he sees Seok-ryu and her ex-fiance together.
One day, Seok-ryu’s ex-fiancĆ© intrudes when Seok-ryu is practising cooking at Seung-hyo’s place. Suddenly Seok-ryu experiences severe stomachache, and her ex takes her to the hospital, making Seung-hyo more jealous.
He takes her to the hospital where Seung-hyo’s father works. Later, her ex brings her previous medical documents, which are unknown to others. After some time, Seung-hyo discovers that Seok-ryu was diagnosed with cancer a few years back, and she has undergone surgery. The new revelation startles everyone around Seok-ryu.
Later, her new biopsy test comes negative, bringing relief to everyone. Though Seung-hyo confesses his feelings to her, she does not give him a sudden reply; instead, she asks him to take a food packet from the convenience store, telling him that she will tell him the decision on its expiry date. Seung-hyo takes a milk packet that will expire soon.
Over time, she realises that she has feelings for Seung-hyo. She confesses her feelings for him when he is standing in a sunflower field. They start dating, keeping their relationship a secret from their parents. Nonetheless, their parents discover their relationship.
In the beginning, their mothers disapprove of their relationship because Seok-ryu’s mother is worried about her future since Seung-hyo’s mother knows that she is a cancer survivor. Likewise, Seung-hyo’s mother is also worried about Seok-ryu’s health.

Nonetheless, Seung-hyo and Seok-ryu decide to continue their date. Later, the mothers’ accept their relationship due to their love for their children.
The drama ends on a happy note, showing the happy lives of all the characters after some eventful days.
