Lee Juno is a South Korean business executive, former singer, dancer and record producer. He is a former member of the influential boy group ‘Seo Taiji and Boys’. He was in charge of dance with Yang Hyuk-suk and was one of Korea’s best dancers back in his time.
Early Life and Education
Lee Juno was born on 10 February 1967 in Anyang, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. He has a younger brother. Much about his early life and education is not disclosed to the public.

Lee Juno was a popular and finest dancer of his time. He was a former member of the highly successful and celebrated band ‘Seo Taiji & Boys’. The band was notable for changing the South Korean music industry by pioneering and introducing rap to Korean popular music. The breakup of Sinawe, the heavy metal band led to the formation of the ‘Seo Taiji and Boys’ with Yang Hyun-suk and Lee Juno. After Seo Taiji joined the group, Lee Juno was recruited as he was one of the top dancers in Korea. The band experimented with various MIDI sounds to create new music which was never heard before.
The trio debuted on 11 April 1992 on MBC’s talent show with their song ‘Nan Arayo’. It was one of the first Korean rap songs and was a smash hit. The trio won a Golden Disc Award for the same in 1992. In 2015, ‘Rolling Stone’ ranked number 36 on its list of the 50 Greatest Boy Band Songs of All Time. The song was notable for establishing the popularity of rap in K-pop. The trio blended the Korean ballad style with rap, rock and techno.
Their second album was released in 1993 with songs like ‘Hayeoga’. The song earned them their second Golden Disc Award. For the first time in Korean history, their second album became the first double million sellers.
The third album was more of a heavy rock style with controversial songs like ‘Classroom Idea’. The fourth album was filled with more controversial songs with immense backlash from fans. With extensive reaction, ‘the system of pre-censorship was abolished in June 1996. After the system was abolished, they released an extended play titled ‘Regret of the Times’. The trio retired from the South Korean music industry in 1996. The last album released was titled ‘Goodbye Best Album’. Seo Taiji moved to the United States after the trio retired, while the other members Lee Juno and Yang Hyun-suk pursued their solo careers and established their record labels.
 Personal Life
He was sentenced to prison for fraud and sexual harassment for 1 year and 6 months. Two of his acquaintances had loaned him 65 million KRW (USD 56,726) for his business but he failed to repay them.
Later, he was accused of sexually molesting two women at a club in Seoul. He faced trial for both crimes. After the trial, Lee Juno told the reporters that he was falsely accused of sexual molestation and filed an appeal against the charges.
The court sentenced Lee Juno to imprisonment of one year and six months, 40 hours of treatment at a program for sexual violence and 10 years of having his personal information registered. The court did not issue an arrest warrant and the accused had the opportunity to agree with the victims.
He married Park Mi-ri at the Marriott Hotel Millennium Hall in Seoul. The marriage was hosted by comedian Hwang Hyun Hee and singer Shin Chul. The song was performed by Park Sang-min, Moon Myung-jin and Poppin’ Hyun Joon. His wife is 23 years younger and the couple have two children named Lee Jae-yi and Lee San-hee.
