Biography of B-Bomb

Lee Min-hyuk popular by the stage name B-Bomb is a South Korean singer, dancer and stage actor. He is the main dancer and vocalist of the South Korean boy band Block B and in the Bastarz sub-unit with U-Kwon and P.O. Other members of Block B include Taeil, Jaehyo, U-Kwon, Park Kyung, Zico, and P.O.

Early Life and Education

B-Bomb was born on 14 December 1990 in Seoul, South Korea. He attended Induk University majoring in Broadcasting.

Career

B-Bomb marked his initial performance with Block B in April 2011. B-Bomb along with fellow members of the band Kwon and P.O. formed the group’s first sub-unit Bastarz. He composed the song ‘Tightly’ for the 2016 second album, ‘Welcome to Bastarz’ for its sub-unit. He received credits for the composition of three songs for the album ‘I’m a Mess’ (2019). He penned the song ‘Give & Take’ for the band’s album ‘Re: Montage’.

B-Bomb starred in the 2015 web drama ‘Jumping Girl’ playing the role of idol star Seo Ah-shin along with actors Park Ha Seong, Kwon Yul and U-Kwon. The drama narrates the life of an ordinary girl who turned topsy-turvy due to social criticism resulting from a good deed.

For the historical play, he starred as Danjong of Joseon. He received an outstanding appraisal for his performance in the show. In 2018, he became a cast member of JBTC 4’s new reality show ‘Awesome Feed’ which reflects the daily lives of celebrities.

He composed the song ‘Don’t Be Shy’, along with Park Hyun-kyu of Vromance and was released in 2019. His first  Korean solo release was titled ‘Dawn’ and was released on 2 July 2019.

B-Bomb played the guest roles in ‘Shut Up: Flower Boy Band’ (2021) depicting the story of a school rock group and the controversies regarding the closure of the school. He also had guest roles in the 2017 comedy youth drama ‘Mackerel Run’. The narrates the plot of a high school boy with soccer skills and finding true love.

Apart from his engagement with the band, he has also appeared and featured in ‘Leaving’ (2017) by SBS Plus with Jaehyo. In 2018, he appeared in ‘Awesome Feed’ as a cast member and in 2021 in ‘The Best Cooking Secrets’. He has also been featured in ‘My 100th Election’ (2021) as Han Woong.
