Early Life and Education

Wendy was born on February 21, 1994, in Seongbuk-dong, Seoul, South Korea. However, she spent most of her childhood in Canada, where her family had moved when she was in fifth grade. Growing up, she learned to play several musical instruments, including the piano, guitar, flute, and saxophone. She also sang in church and school choirs, developing her love for music from a young age.

Wendy attended Richmond Hill High School in Canada and then went on to attend Shattuck-St. Mary’s School in Minnesota, USA, where she participated in various music activities and competitions. In January 2021, Wendy made her official return to television as a co-host of ‘Mysterious Record Shop’. Later, in March 2021, it was announced that Wendy would be making her debut as a solo artist with an album releasing in April. This was later confirmed as her first EP ‘Like Water’, which contains a total of five songs and was released on April 5, 2021.
