Shin-Se-kyung was cast in a great number of popular series from the beginning of her career. Continuing with her success, Shin-Se-kyung played a lead role in an omnibus film, ‘Acoustic’, directed by Yoo Sang-hun in 2010. Next year, she appeared along with South Korean actor Song Kang-ho in a 2011 action drama film, ‘Hindsight’, directed by Lee Hyun-seung. The successful film premiered at the 16th Busan International Film Festival. The same year in 2011, she was seen in a television series, ‘Deep Rooted Tree’, directed by Jang Tae-yoo. Her co-stars in the series were Han Suk-kyu and Jang-hyuk.

The South Korean film industry was able to witness good progress in the career of actor Shin Se-kyung, especially in 2012. She had luckily been a part of three television series and one film in a particular year. She played a lead role in the 2012 film, ‘R2B: Return to Base’, by Kim Dong-won, starring opposite Rain and Yoo Jun-sang. South Korean situation comedy ‘High Kick: Revenge of the Short Legged’, and the television drama, ‘Fashion King’ are a few of her successful projects in 2012.

In 2013, Shin-Se-kyung appeared in a television series, ‘When a Man Falls in Love’ alongside Song Seung-heon, Chae Jung-an, and Yeon Woo-jin. The series, directed by Kim Sang-ho and Choi Byung-gil, was aired on MBC with 20 episodes.

Shin-Se-kyung was cast in a South Korean gambling film, ‘Tazza: The Hidden Card’, directed by Kang Hyeong-Cheol in 2014. She also starred along with actor Lee Dong-wook in a South Korean television series, ‘Blade Man’ in the same year.

Between 2015 and 2017, Shin-Se-kyung acted in lead roles in four television series such as ‘A Girl Who Sees Smells’, ‘Six Flying Dragons, ‘The Bride of Habaek’ and ‘Black Knight: The Man Who Guards Me’. She also made a special appearance in the South Korean drama film, ‘The Preparation’, directed by Cho Young-jun starring Go Doo-shim and Kim Sung-kyun.

In 2019, Shin-Se-kyung played a titular role as a free-spirited female historian in a South Korean television series, ‘Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung’, directed by Kang Il-soo and Han Hyun-hee. The series aired on MBC from 17 July 2019 to 26 September 2019, and the series was also aired internationally on Netflix in the same year.

Shin-Se-kyung appeared in a television series, ‘Run On’, starring alongside Im Si-wan, Choi Soo-young, and Kang Tae-oh in the lead roles. The series, which was aired from 16 December 2020 to 4 February 2021, is also available on Netflix globally.

In 2021, Shin-Se-kyung was featured in a documentary film, ‘Another Record’, directed by Kim Jong Kwan. The documentary film featured the extraordinary lifestyle of the actor Shin-Se-kyung.

Shin-Se-kyung is expected to be featured in season two of the upcoming 2023 television series ‘Arthdal Chronicles’, directed by Kim Won-seok. She is awaited to play the role of ‘Tanya’ in the series.
