Biography of Seol In-ah

Seol In-ah is a multifaceted actor in South Korea, known for her charming looks and solid acting skills. In-ah, also known by her nickname Seorina has become one of the most successful Korean actors with her incredible roles in series, including ‘Sunny Again Tomorrow’, ‘Beautiful Love, Wonderful Life’ and ‘Business Proposal’. In-ah, who established her acting career with unique roles over the years, is now managed by the entertainment company Goldmedalist since 11 April 2022.

Early Life and Education

Alluring actor Bang Ye-rin better known as Seol In-ah was born on 3 January 1996 in South Korea. She completed her schooling at Hanlim Arts High School in Seoul, South Korea. She was a K-pop idol trainee during her middle school days, where she used to train with Heo Young-ji, who was a former member of the K-pop girl group ‘KARA’. Later, She honed her craft at the prestigious Seoul Institute of the Arts and pursued an acting degree.

Career

Seol In-ah started her acting career in 2015 in a cameo role in the tenth episode of the comedy-drama television series, ‘The Producers’, directed by Seo Soo-min and Pyo Min-soo. In 2016, In-ah played a minor role in the South Korean drama, ‘Flowers of the Prison’, a project drama to mark the 55th-founding anniversary of MBC Network. In the series, actors, including Jin Se-yeon, Kim Mi-sook, Park Joo-mi, Yoon Joo-hee, Jun Kwang-ryul, Go Soo-jung, Jung Joon-ho, Kim Soo-yeon and Choi Tae-joon appeared in the lead roles.

However, the talented actor In-ah gained prevalence only after playing the lead role in the television series, ‘Sunny Again Tomorrow’ in 2018, co-starring actors Lee Chang-wook, Jin Ju-hyung and Ha Seung-ri.

She was a cast member in the reality-documentary show, ‘Law of the Jungle’ in 2018 and a challenger in the television show ‘Paik’s Mysterious Kitchen’.

In 2019, she appeared in a supporting role in the South Korean television series, ‘Special Labor Inspector’, starring Kim Dong-wook, Ryu Deok-hwan, Kim Kyung-nam and Park Se-young.

 In-ah appeared as Kim Cheong-ah in the 2019–2020 South Korean television series, ‘Beautiful Love, Wonderful Life’, co-starring Kim Jae-young, Jo Yoon-hee and Oh Min-suk.

In 2020, she made a special appearance in the South Korean television series, ‘Record of Youth’, co-starring Park Bo-gum, Park So-dam, Byeon Woo-seok and Kwon Soo-Hyun in the lead roles. The drama, directed by Ahn Gil-ho, is about the life of three youngsters in the fashion industry, attempting to achieve their dreams and love without despair.

In-ah played the role of Jo Hwa-jin in the South Korean television series, ‘Mr. Queen’, in 2021 by Yoon Sung-sik, based on the Chinese web series ‘Go Princess Go’.

In February 2022, In-ah, one of the lead actors in the hit romantic comedy series ‘Business Proposal’, based on the webtoon of the same title, directed by Park Seon-ho co-starring Ahn Hyo-seop, Kim Se-jeong and Kim Min-kyu.

In 2023, In-ah played the role of Oh Jung-shin, an honest and confident woman who fights against injustice in the South Korean television series, ‘Oasis’. The series, directed by Han Hee, stars Jang Dong-yoon, Choo Young-woo and Seol In-ah in the lead roles and depicts the story of three youngsters who fight aggressively to save their dreams, friendship and their only first love.

As of 2023, the upcoming television series of South Korean actor In-ah is ‘Sparkling Watermelon’, directed by Son Jung-hyun, about to release in the second half of 2023.

Although it has been only eight years since In-ah started her acting career, she has achieved several awards and has gained appreciation from critics and her fans. The first lead role of the South Korean actor In-ah in ‘Sunny Again Tomorrow’ earned her the ‘Best New Actress Award’ at the 2018 ‘KBS Drama Awards’. 2019 was a big year for In-ah as her performance in the series, ‘Beautiful Love, Wonderful Life’ earned her the ‘Excellence Award’ for Actress in a Serial Drama at the 2019 ‘KBS Drama Awards’.
