Biography of Seeun

Yoon Se-eun, commonly known as Seeun, is a South Korean singer, a former child actress and a member of the girl group, STAYC. STAYC is a South Korean girl group formed by High Up Entertainment consisting of 6 members: Sumin, Sieun, Isa, Seeun, Yoon and J. The girl group debuted on 12 November 2022 with the release of their debut single album ‘Star to a Young Culture’. She was also a former member of the pre-debut group Play M Girls.

Early Life and Education

Yoon Se-eun was born on 14 June 2003 in Pyeongtaek, South Korea. She has a younger brother and an older sister. She completed her education at Kyungi High School.

Music Career

Initially, STAYC was known as High Up Girls under the company High Up Entertainment. Before the debut of the group, the group’s members had individual projects. Yoon Se-eun was known as an actress under Kiara Entertainment. Her credits in the drama include ‘Circle’ and ‘The Guardians’. She is a former PlayM Entertainment trainee along with member Sumin.

Initially, she was a former member of the pre-debut group Play M Girl. She joined the group as the third member of the girl group on 9 September 2020. She made her debut with the group’s first single album ‘Star to A Young Culture’ on 12 November 2020 with the lead single ‘So Bad’. The album was produced by Black Eyed Pilseung, a South Korean music production by High Up Entertainment.

The girl group, released their music video for the album’s lead single ‘So Bad’ on 12 November 2020. The single reached 2.6 million views in the first 24 hours of its release. The single ranked number 90 on Billboard’s Kpop Hot 100 and number 12 on the World Digital Song Sales Chart. On 8 April 2021, the girl group released their second single album ‘Starydom’ and its lead single ‘ASAP’. The song reached 20 million views and also entered Billboard’s Kpop 100 weekly chart.

The group released their first extended play (EP) ‘Stereotype’ on 6 September 2020. On 21 February 2022, the group released their second extended play (EP) ‘Young-Luv.com’ and its lead single ‘Run2u’. The single ranked number 4 on the Gaon Digital Chart.

On 19 July 2022, the girl group released their third single album ‘We Need Love’ and on 23 November, the group made their Japanese debut single ‘Poppy’. The group released their fourth single album ‘Teddy’ on 18 January 2023.
