Early Life & Education
Park Eun-bin was born on September 4, 1992, in Jamsil-dong, Songpa District, Seoul, South Korea. She attended the Seoul Bangi Elementary School. She later attended Bangi Middle School before completing her high school education at Seoul’s Youngpa Girls’ High School. She received two degrees from Sogang University in Seoul, South Korea, one in psychology and the other in journalism and broadcasting.
Eun-bin was an excellent and dedicated college student. She began performing at the age of five while managing her academics.
Career & Achievements
Park Eun-bin made her acting debut at the young age of five and has since appeared as a child actress in multiple television programmes, portraying the younger versions of different characters. Park won the Best Child Actress prize in 2007 for her performance in the drama Catching Up with Gangnam Moms.
‘Operation Proposal’, a time-travelling love story, gave Eun-bin her first major acting role in 2012.
Then, Eun-bin co-starred with Namkoong Min in the popular sports drama ‘Hot Stove League’ (2019–2020), in which she played the role of operations manager of a struggling baseball team. The show won the ‘Best Drama Award’ at the ’56th Baeksang Arts Awards’. Following the success of ‘Hot Stove League’, Eun-bin was chosen to play a young violinist in the musical love story ‘Do You Like Brahms?’ Despite having some prior violin expertise, Park spent three months polishing her skills in order to prepare for the part. At the 2020 ‘SBS Drama Awards’, her performance earned her the ‘Top Excellence Actress Award’.
In the historical television programme ‘The King’s Affection’ in 2021, Park portrayed Crown Prince ‘Yi Hwi’. Park Eun-bin was nominated for ‘Best Actress’ at the ’58th Baeksang Arts Awards’ and won the ‘Top Excellence Actress Award’ at the ‘2021 KBS Drama Awards’ for her portrayal of the role in ‘cross-dressing’. At the ’49th Korean Broadcasting Awards’, Eun-bin also won the ‘Best Actor Prize’ for her performance. Additionally, the drama won the ‘Best Telenovela prize’ at the ’50th International Emmy Awards’.
Eun-bin appeared in Park Hoon-jung’s action-horror film ‘The Witch: Part 2’ in 2022. In the same year, she starred in ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’ as an autistic savant lawyer ‘Woo Young-woo’, who takes on the title role. It was then discovered that the drama’s production crew had to wait more than a year for Park to participate. She received praise for this performance from both reviewers and viewers. Through her performance, the drama, which was broadcast on the brand-new channel ENA, gained high fame in Korea.
The drama was a huge hit, spending 21 weeks in the top 10 non-English TV series on Netflix. Eun-bin received widespread acclaim for her captivating performance when she took home the ‘Best Actor’ honour at the ‘Asia Contents Awards’. She received the ‘Rising Star Award for TV’ from the ‘Critics Choice Awards for Asian Pacific Cinema & Television’ and the drama was nominated for ‘Best Foreign Language Series’ at the 28th Critics’ Choice Awards. In 2023, Paek Eun-bin appeared in a romantic comedy-drama ‘Castaway Diva’ along with Kim Hyo-jin, Chae Jong-hyeop, and Cha Hak-yeon.
