Synopsis

A car enters a garage, and the bold and beautiful Park In-ae gets out of the car in her red heels and frock. She meets the garage employee whom she is searching for. She hammers his hand and tortures him.

Park In-ae is out for her missing sister, Eun-hye. After the deaths of their parents, Eun-hye is her only family. She is an autistic child who is in high school. One and a half years ago, a politician raped Eun-hye.

In-ae, notices the change and follows Eun-hye on her bike in the evening. When Eun-hye comes out of the school, a car enters the scene to take her to a hotel. Inside the hotel room, the politician gives pills to seduce her. In-ae breaks into the room and sees her sister being molested by the politician. In-ae pushes him away from Eun-hye, and using a pointed tool, she tries to stab him. Though he escapes a fatal strike, she stabs the tool into his eyes and takes her sister home. For that incident, In-ae was jailed.

Eun- hye receives her elder sister warmly after her imprisonment. That night they eat and sleep together happily, and In-ae gifts her a cute hair clip. However, from the next day onwards, Eun-hye stops coming home after school. In-ae searches for her in every spot that a teenager could go.

Eun-hye is under the custody of her school bullies. Three female students introduce Eun-hye to their male friends. The boys use Eun-hye to steal money from men who come to molest her. They steal the money by sending Eun-hye to a hotel room, and then they break into the room, pretending to save her.

However, the boys lose to a criminal who is in the room with Eun-hye. After threatening the boys, he takes Eun-hye. A worried In-ae goes to Eun-hye’s school to inquire about her sister. In-ae meets a classmate of Eun-hye, and she shows her a video of Eun-hye getting bullied by her other three classmates. She goes after the three girls and finds a boy who used to steal money from men using Eun-hye.

From the information she gets from the boy, she contacts the man who abducted Eun-hye from the hotel room. Her investigation takes her to a man’s house, and she takes his car’s key and electroshock weapon. Her quest takes her to a chain of molesters who abused Eun-hye.

She meets the first person on the list. She chases his car, and after a fight, she traps the fainted man in the car’s trunk. Later, she starts to hunt down the next man using the information obtained from the previous one. In-ae meets him in his office, and after an aggressive fight, she gets the details of the next man to chase.

Eun-hye is under the custody of a trusted assistant of the politician from the past. In-ea’s investigation takes her to the old shopkeeper who assaulted Eun-hye in the early days. Later, she visits the photographer who took nude photos of Eun-hye. In-ae begins to hunt the politician finally.

The politician takes Eun-hye from his assistant after killing him. One night when the politician is with his men, In-ae intrudes into the scene in a car. Being the single woman fighting against a bunch of men, In-ae almost collapses down like dead. However, the urge to save Eun-hye gives her the strength to fight down all the men around her.

She rushes into the room where Eun-hye is lying unconsciously. The politician traps her in the room and stabs a dagger in her stomach. However, the wounded In-ae fights back to save herself and her sister, and after defeating the politician, she takes her sister home.

Theme

‘No Mercy’ is the story of a young lady seeking vengeance for her mentally retarded younger sister. Also, the movie discusses sexual harassment faced by mentally retarded children in society including abuse in their schools. The men who sexually abuse Park Eun-hye include middle-aged and elderly people.

Furthermore, it is the story of survival, having no other support from society, the elder sister is taking the sworn responsibility of protecting her sister. To survive, the only way that In-ae finds is to wipe out the rapists and perverts who caused trouble in her sister’s life.
