Synopsis

Han Seo-yeon (Park Ji-yeon) is a bright, healthy, and outgoing high school student who dreams of becoming a model. Despite her strong desire, she worries about being rejected since she is short heighted. One day, she applies to a fashion show in which Na Jin-wook (Kang Dong-ho), who is one of the top male models in Korea, is on the approval board. Jin-wook is Seo-yeon’s idol crush, whom she admires a lot.

During the fashion model show’s casting, Jin-wook harshly treats her thinking she’s too short for a model. He doesn’t want to deceive her by allowing her to pass at the casting, as he is pretty sure that she will get eliminated from the show at a later point. Seo-yeon leaves the audition disappointed. After that incident, Seo-yeon is moody and unhappy. Later one day, her childhood friend Park Na-rae (Jo Hye-ryung) takes her to a karaoke bar to lift her spirits.

In a strange coincidence, Jin-wook fired from the fashion show’s approval board, is also at the bar celebrating his friend’s birthday. Suddenly, a random storm happens, and both Seo-yeon and Jin-wook are electrocuted. They wake up to realise they have switched bodies.

They decide to figure out how to switch back and start to work together. Jin-wook has an important runway show coming up, and Seo-yeon is willing to help him. Seo-yeon is very excited about being a real model for the first time. She starts to live in Jin-wook’s apartment with his two other friends. Seo-yeon acts like a girl in front of everyone, and lots of hilarious misunderstandings occur because she’s a teen girl in a boy’s body.

Ending Explained

Thereafter, Na Jin-wook and Han Seo-yeon face various challenges in their careers and personal lives. Jin-wook considers giving up on the runway when he and Han Seo-yeon struggle to return to their original bodies. The couple grows towards a sense of fulfilment and reconciliation as they continue to chase their dreams together.

My Runway explores values, family relationships, the significance of fame, and how you let it affect your life through the struggles of two main characters figuring out how to escape the situation they find themselves in. The drama also gives a glimpse into the ridiculous standards of the modelling industry. My Runway shows how important it is to have a good sense of our character and personality and how we should not let circumstances affect the way we behave.
