Synopsis
Kyung Woo-yeon (Shin Ye-eun) is a young, eighteen-year-old woman with dreams and ambitions and a heart ready to love. She has spent the last 10 years having a crush on a guy named Lee Soo (Ong Seong-wu), who has been her friend since high school. Little did she know that at the time, Lee Soo also had a crush on her, and when she confessed her feelings, she got friend-zoned.
Kyung Woo-yeon accepted the rejection and continued being friends. However, deep in her heart, she still has feelings for Lee Soo, hoping that one day or another Lee Soo might come to like her.

Seven years later, Woo-yeon tries her luck again, only to be rejected again. Woo-yeon is determined to get over the curse of not being able to experience love. One lonely day, Woo-yeon is sitting alone at Jeju Island when she decides that she no longer. By this time, Lee Soo leaves Korea with a heavy chest.

Kyung Woo-yeon tried every trick to get over this curse she had. Woo-yeon tried to forget him by dating around 12 men; however, her strong feelings for Lee Soo prevented her from sincerely liking anyone else. No matter how nice the men were, her relationships never lasted more than a few months.
One day, she finds a man named On Joon-soo (Kim Dong-jun), who is the CEO of a huge publishing house. Joon-soo’s first love ended up being his sister-in-law, and he fell for Woo-yeon after a few encounters. Joon-soo offers to help by being her test man to determine why her relationships don’t work out, whether the fault lies in her or the men she has dated.

After ten long years, Lee Soo, now a famous, sought-after photographer, is back in Korea, and he doesn’t seem too happy to see his old friend, Woo-yeon, enjoying the advances of a kind, handsome, and rich publishing CEO, Joon-soo. Lee Soo had a traumatic childhood haunted by his parents’ divorce, and he always stops himself from love and chooses not to start something so that it won’t end up worse.
Joon-soo’s publishing company, Metaphor Publishing, hires Lee Soo and Woo-yeon to make a photo book, and Joon-soo isn’t happy when he discovers Lee Soo is the guy who broke the heart of the woman he now loves.
Another character is introduced, Kim Young-hee (Ahn Eun-jin), who is one of the members of a high school gang. The gang contains Woo-yeon, Lee Soo, Kim Young-hee, Shin Hyun-jae, and Han Jin-joo. Kim Young-hee has struggled in her life since her father passed away in her teenage years. She works as an assistant manager in an office and does her best to take care of the family.

Another gang member, Shin Hyun-jae (Choi Chan-ho), is introduced. He comes from a rich and financially settled family. Hyun-jae works as a teacher by profession and adores Kim Young-hee. Although Young-hee loves Shin Hyun-jae, she struggles with a feeling of inadequacy and never confesses her feelings to Shin Hyun-jae.
Jin Sang-hyuk (Pyo Ji-hoon), a good friend of the gang, runs a small restaurant named Tonight, which happens to be the main gathering place of all the old high school friends. Sang-hyuk is a like-minded young man who is close to everyone and is interested in another gang member, Han Jin-joo (Baek Soo-min), but never lets anyone know that. Han Jin-joo is a rich prosecutor and Kyung Woo-yeon’s best friend.
