Kim Hyun-joo is well-known for playing prominent roles in various projects. She first established herself in the entertainment industry as a model. Kim appeared in the short film ‘If You Were Me 5’, which was commissioned by the Korean National Human Rights Commission.

Hyun-joo played the lead role in Yeon Sang-ho’s 2021 fantasy thriller drama ‘Hellbound’. In the SBS drama ‘Trolley’ from 2022, Kim Hyun-joo portrayed the wife of a National Assembly member. Kim starred in the 2023 Netflix sci-fi movie ‘Jung_E’ by Hellbound director, Yeon Sang-ho.

‘The Bequeathed’, a thriller with a suspenseful plot, will be premiered on Netflix. Yeon Sang-ho is the series’ creator and author, and Min Hong-nam will serve as assistant director. Kim Hyun-joo portrays Yun Seo-ha, the protagonist, as the main role. The story revolves around a woman who, after her uncle unexpectedly passes away, finds herself trapped in strange circumstances that reveal unspoken family problems. Park Hee-soo, Park Byung-eun, and Ryu Kyung-soo are the other cast members. The release date has not yet been made official, and streaming is available worldwide. RedPeter Films and Wow Point are the series’ producers. In 2022, she made a special appearance in South Korean television series ‘Going to You at a Speed of 493km’.
