Early Life and Education
Ju Ji-hoon was born on May 16, 1982, in Seoul, South Korea. His initial name was Ju Young-hoon and later he adopted the stage name Ju Ji-hoon. He grew up in a joint family with his grandparents, his parents, and a younger sister. He has an associate degree from Dongwon University, majoring in E-business. He has a theatre degree from Kyonggi University, and he started his modelling career at the age of 19.

In 2008, Ji-hoon appeared in the comedy thriller film ‘Antique’ as the character Kim Jin-hyeok, the owner of the Antique bakery. The film is an adaptation of the comic Antique Bakery by Fumi Yoshinaga. In the romance drama ‘The Naked Kitchen’, directed by Ji-Yeong Hong, he played one of the lead roles as Park Du-re. Ji-hoon signed a new contract with the entertainment agency KeyEast in 2011. In 2012, his comeback was marked by the historical comedy film ‘I Am the King’, inspired by Mark Twain’s 1881 novel, ‘The Prince and the Pauper’. In 2020, Ju starred in the second season of ‘Kingdom’ and in the drama ‘Hyena’. Ju signed a contract with the new agency H & Entertainment in 2021.
