‘Exit’ is a romantic movie starring Jo Jung-suk and Im Yoon-ah. It revolves around the life of Lee Yong-nam, the hero. His plans to meet his crush after a long time goes wrong when unexpected incidents happen on the 70th birthday of his mother.

Synopsis
Lee Yong-nam is a young man with a great body and a charming face. When it comes to jobs, he is hopeless and still lives with his parents. He was an impressive rock climber during his college days. During his college days, he had a crush on a fellow rock climber, Eui-joo. In contrast to Yong-nam’s pathetic condition, Eui-joo is able to progress in her career after college.
Yong-nam still has feelings for Eui-joo, and he gets a chance to meet Eui-joo again at the 70th birthday celebration of his mother. Jung-hyun, Yong-nam’s older sister is concerned about his life. To bring about a change in his life, Jung-hyun insists him to appear neat and warm at the birthday celebration. However, Yong-nam has other plans in mind. To meet Eui-joo, he persuades his family to arrange the birthday function at Cloud Garden.
As planned, the family hosts the birthday function at Cloud Garden. Yong-nam fakes his surprise at seeing Eui-joo at the event venue. While exchanging friendly talks, he lies, saying that he has secured a good job and is living happily. His lies do not work since one of the close friends called her and reveals the truth about his life.
Regardless of his plans, something fishy starts to happen outside Cloud Garden. A terrorist parks a truck loaded with poisonous white gas near Cloud Garden. The gas leaked from the truck spread in the air, causing suffocation in the nearby area. Affected by the toxins in the gas, Jung-hyun feels sick.
The only way to escape immediately from the gas is by moving to the rooftop of the building. Since the rooftop door is locked, Yong-nam breaks a window and opens the door to the rooftop. His family safely manages to move to the rooftop. By showing the SOS signals, they catch the attention of a rescue helicopter. One by one, everyone starts to climb into the helicopter, but when it comes to the turn of Yong-nam and Eui-joo, the helicopter exceeds its limit.
To lessen the impact of the gas on their bodies, Yong-nam and Eui-joo wrap themselves with safety gear. To save themselves, they move to another building and wave to catch the attention of another helicopter. However, instead of rescuing them, the helicopter flies towards a school to rescue a group of students. The toxins in the atmosphere become intense when a gas station nearby explodes.
Having no other choice, Yong-nam and Eui-joo aim to move to a tower crane. Fortunately, a drone finds them, and it guides them to the tower. Following the direction of the drone, they pass several buildings. By making them stand in the middle of huge buildings, the drone loses its battery.
Using one of the drones, Yong-nam ties a rope across the building. They try to move to the other building, but collapse to the ground as the rope he tied could not bear the weight. Finally, a rescue helicopter arrives to save them. Yong-nam and Eui-joo are taken to Yong-nam’s family. Reaching the safe zone, Yong-nam and Eui-joo say goodbye to each other in the hope of meeting at some time later.

‘Exit’ is a filmed based on disaster. A poisonous white gas, the result of a scientific experiment, spreads in the air from a truck. To escape from the gas, the ex-rock climbers, Lee Yong-nam and Eui-joo, utilise their rock climbing skills to save themselves and Yong-nam’s family.
