Byeon Woo-seok began his career as a model when he was a student at Cheongju University. He aspired to become an actor, and as a stepping stone, he started his modelling career. He was an active presence in Seoul Fashion Week, magazines, ad campaigns, and fashion shows. Also, he has worked as a model trainer.

Being a successful model, Woo-seok has worked for famous magazines like W, Arena, Elle, and Cosmopolitan. He appeared in his first international modelling show in 2015 in the F/W Men’s Fashion Show on seven runways.

Byeon Woo-seok made his breakthrough appearance in the 2024 K-drama ‘Lovely Runner’ opposite Kim Hye-yoon. He received the offer for the role of Ryu Sn-jae, the pop star, on 19 July 2023. The drama penned by Lee Si-eun was co-directed by Yoon Jong-ho and Kim Tae-yeop.

‘Lovely Runner’ dwells into the lives of Ryu Sun-jae and Im Sol. In the time slip fantasy romance drama, Ryu Sun-jae (Byeon Woo-seok) is a former swimmer who later chooses the career path of a singer. On the flip side, Kim Hye-yoon plays the role of Im Sol, the ardent fan of singer Ryu Sun-jae who gets paralysed due to an accident.

Later it was revealed that Byeon Woo-seok has attended singing lessons for the role.
