Biography of Baek Seo-bin
South Korean actor Baek Seo-bin, known for his roles in ‘Naeil’s Cantabil’, ‘Zombie School’, and ‘Sermon on the Mount’, is the son of South Korean veteran actor Baek Yun-shik. The excellent actor under FN Entertainment made his acting debut in 2011.
Early Life and Education
Baek Seo-bin was born on 7 September 1984 in Seoul, South Korea. South Korean actor Baek Yun-shik is his father and Jeon Seon-hee is his mother.
His adolescence was well spent with his brother Baek Do-bin, who is also an actor by profession.
Career
Baek Seo-bin made his acting debut in the 2011 South Korean television series, ‘Deep Rooted Tree’, based on a novel of the same name by Lee Jung-myung. He played a supporting role as Jang Eun-sung with actors Jang Hyuk and Shin Se-kyung in lead roles. The series with 24 episodes aired from 5 October to 22 December 2011. The South Korean drama, ‘Knock’, directed by Lee Joo-Heon, released in 2012 is the second television series in which actor Seo-bin played a prominent role.
Three years after the acting entry of the young actor Seo-bin debuted in a 2014 South Korean thriller film, ‘Tabloid Truth’, directed by Kim Kwang-sik. He appeared in a supporting role in the film, starring Kim Kang-woo, Jung Jin-young, Ko Chang-seok and Park Sung-woong in the lead role.
Seo-bin was cast in his first lead role in a South Korean television series, ‘Naeil’s Cantabile’, co-starring Joo Won and Shim Eun-kyung with Park Bo-gum, Go Kyung-pyo in 2014. The drama, adapted from the Japanese manga ‘Nodame Cantabile’ by Tomoko Ninomiya, is directed by Han Sang-woo and Lee Jung-mi.
Seo-bin’s lead role, Jung-Sik, in the South Korean horror drama, ‘Zombie School’, directed by Kim Seok-Jung earned him a lot of success in his career. The series premiered at the 18th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival in 2014.
In 2017, Seo-bin was cast as Do-yoon in the lead role in the television series, ‘Sermon on the Mount’, which gained her more popularity and acceptance among his viewers. Next year, the aspiring actor played a prominent role in the television series, ‘Dad is Pretty’, co-starring Myoung Duk-kim and Min Ji-son in the lead roles. Another hit role of the young and handsome actor Seo-bin came in 2020 with the television drama, ‘Fighter’, in the lead role as Tae-soon.
Baek Seo-bin appeared in the 2021 film, ‘Wish You’ by Do Joon-sung. Choi Min Seong, his character in the film, made him win positive reviews from viewers and fans. South Korean actor Seo-bin gained more attention after appearing in the television drama, ‘Wish You: Your Melody From My Heart’, in 2022. His latest television drama as of 2023 is ‘The Heavenly Idol’. He appeared in a supporting role as Chief Jang in this romantic comedy television series.
